This case involved a client who drove with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.246%.
From the investigation stage, Simon, together with the client, strongly argued for leniency by emphasizing the client’s social status, occupation, and the short distance driven.
Despite the very high BAC, the court took these factors into account and imposed only a fine of 5 million KRW.
Subsequently, the client successfully passed the immigration screening and, as a result, was not subjected to deportation and continues to reside in Korea.
